また研鑽のため数度の渡印を経た後、2015年よりICCR(Indian Council for Cultural Relations)インド政府奨学生としてインド西部グジャラート州Ahmedabadにあるカダンブ舞踊学校(KADAMB Center for dance and music)へ留学。 カタックの巨匠P.b.Kumudini Lakhiaの指導のもと現地ダンサーと共にインド各地の公演に出演。2017年9月にはAhmedabadで開催されたIndo-Japan Annual Summitにおいて、日印両首相の前でパフォーマンスを披露している。
2017年10月に帰国、Nritya Anganと題してソロ活動を本格的に開始。

In 1998, Nao Tsutsumi, started training of Kathak, North Indian classical dance form, under the guidance of Sachi Nakajima, a Japanese exponent of Kathak.
In 2004, Kathak performing unit  ‘Apsara’ was founded and she has been a part of it since its inception.
Apart from regular Kathak performances, in 2005 Nao performed at the India Hall of ‘Expo Ai・Chikyu-haku (Love & Earth Expo)’ and also participated Delhi performance in 2010.
After several visit to India to receive focused trainings in Kathak, from 2015 Nao had learned Kathak at Kadamb Centre for Dance and Music, Ahmedabad, in western India, as an ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural
Relations scholar). Under the guidance of Padma Bhushan Kumudini Lakhia, the founder of Kadamb, Nao performed Kathak along with Indian dancers at various stages in different parts of India.
In September 2017, Nao has also performed at Indo-Japan Annual Summit held in Ahmedabad at the prestigious stage to welcome both Prime Ministers of Japan and India.
In Ocrober 2017, Nao returned to Japan and has started her solo performance titled as ‘Nritya Angan’.
Nao’s quest for her unique body expressions has led her to master of Yang Ming-Shi  Tai-Ji-Quan. And her journey goes on.
